How To Wash Your Fleece Lined Leggings

img_3587Last year I bought my first pair of fleece lined leggings. HOLY COW! Why did no one tell me about them sooner? Not only do they keep me so incredibly warm, but it feels like I am wearing pajama pants all day long. *heart eyes*

Since I wear my fleece leggings basically every day, I researched the best way to wash them. Keeping the color and quality of my most valuable fall staple is key to living a happy life!! 😉 So here is what I found…

Preferred method for longer life of your leggings: Fill up a sink/tub with cold water & a cold water detergent. Turn the leggings inside out & work the fabric together until the detergent is foamy. Rinse the fleece with cold water at least twice. Wring the leggings until it is only slightly damp. Let it air dry.

Preferred method for time management: If you don’t have time to hand wash your fleece leggings, turn them inside out and wash them on cold. Pick a gentle/hand wash setting on your washer. Let them air dry. If you don’t have time, throw them in the dryer on LOW HEAT.

Before it gets nail-biting cold you can line dry your leggings for an extra cleaning. Yes, we said that right, the sun’s UV rays contain a bacteria-killing property that can give your leggings an additional cleaning!
